No. LiveJudge runs in any phone browser. Judges, contestants, and fans open a link or scan a QR code and they are in. There is nothing to install and nothing to update.
My competitors and judges will never remember passwords.
They don't need to. Sign-in is by SMS code, so there are no passwords to forget. A judge enters a phone number, taps the code, and starts scoring.
